Jon Cryer discusses Charlie Sheen

Jon Cryer, star of the popular comedy TWO AND A HALF MEN, appeared on the Conan O'Brien show recently, where he and Conan discussed the adventures of his co-star Charlie Sheen. The clip is below.

Cedar Rapids

Just saw a trailer for this upcoming comedy called "Cedar Rapids". The comedy stars ED HELMS (The Hangover), JOHN C. REILLY (Step Brothers), ANNE HECHE (Spread) and SIGNOURNEY WEAVER (ALIEN). Check out the synopsis and trailer below.

"To call insurance agent Tim Lippe (Ed Helms) "naive" is a gross understatement. He's never left his small Wisconsin hometown. He's never stayed at a hotel. And he's never experienced anything like Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sent to the "major metropolis" to represent his company at the annual insurance convention, Tim is soon distracted by three convention veterans (John C. Reilly, Anne Heche and Isiah Whitlock Jr.) who will show him the ropes and push his boundaries. For a guy who plays everything by the book, this convention will be anything but conventional."

A Word On Patriotism

On the eve of Australia Day, the day where plenty of alcohol-fuelled men and women strut the town draped in Australia flags, chanting "Aussie Aussie Aussie", and basically causing ruckus amongst the neighbourhood, so I thought I'd add a little post about Patriotism. My views on it are I don't have to wear aussie flags, chant ludrciously and run a muck around town ( I run a muck most days of the week). So I never participate in such shit shenangians, My Australia Day will involve a boog sesh in the morning then chilling at a friends place spacing out and listening to the Triple J hot 100.

Patriotism itself, I don't have to show that I'm "Proud" to be an Australian, because then I feel I'm cast with these redneck southern-cross tattooed pricks, with "Fuck Off We're Full" stickers on their cars, or "If you don't like it Fuck Off" shirts, basically you go back far enough, we're all not from here, unless your of Indigenous descent. I couldn't care less who lives here, whatever colour, race, creed, gender, religion, sexuality, favourite basketball team.

That saying, I thought I'd add some clips from two of my favourite comedians, the late Bill Hicks and the late George Carlin, both discussing Patriotism and Nation Pride. Although they're talking about Pride & Patriotism in America, which is a whole another ballpark, the views are quite similar. I like Hicks' point, my parents fucked there, thats it. Its as simple as that.

Wrecking Shirts, Creating Singlets

When in creative spirals, wreck your clothing, cut up a Toadie and this is the result at the moment.

Dull life inspires innovation. Today I decided to pay a visit to one of the best spots on the east coast. Byron Bay. Armed with a camera with a wide angle lens (although looks like a deep fisheye) and with some weird editing, here is the result. Love the area.

Coachella is a music & arts festival held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California, in the Inland Empire's Coachella Valley. This year's line-up sees a few aussie bands score a spot on the three-day festival shenangians, including Cut Copy, Tame Impala, The Presets, Angus & Julia Stone, Empire Of The Sun, with also plenty of headlining big name acts wrecking the stage.

Coachella takes place this year from April 15th till April 17th. Head to http://www.coachella.com for more info.

Queensland Floods 2010-2011

Over the past couple of days, Queensland has been suffering through some of the worst floods in most recent years. The floods having affected 31 towns and at least 200,000 people all over the state. 30 people have been confirmed dead, with more set to be confirmed and plenty missing. Bremers River has peaked at roughly 18m high, Savages Crossing has peaked at roughly 20m high, Brisbane river at roughly 4.5m high, and the Stanley River at roughly 4m high.

Images and videos have circulated the Internet and News Stations all over the country. Thought I would put together a few from the collection. The total cost in damages is looking well into the billions, and with only around 30-odd million been raised so far, more is needed. So head to http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html and find out how you can donate and help out those in need.
